Tiris

Tiris is an American indie rock band from Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Out of the studio, the band self produces fresh batches of emotional honesty, coupling dynamic guitar and synth-scapes over a backdrop of harmony and hook.  Members, Michelle Torrez (vocals, bass, synth), Chris Riggins (guitar, horns), and Valente Torrez (drums), are no strangers to recording. Serendipitously, each has a distinct background in engineering, while Valente Torrez (Eliot Smith), is to be credited for the finished sound we hear on Tiris's latest release "Hollywood and You".  Chris, a skillful multi-instrumentalist, brings a classically trained caliber to Michelle's often free-spirited and intuitive style of writing, and in sort of a right-to-left-brained synergy, an amalgam of musical ideas take shape. 

Look out for one or two more singles to come out this summer.  Meanwhile, the band is chipping away at the recording of their first EP, hopefully to be released later this year.  And always, writing!
